That’s what taxes are.

Controversial stance: Drunk drivers don’t intend to kill. They don’t even intend to take a chance of killing. When they get behind the wheel, they think “I’ve only had two, I’m good for it” or “It’s been a few hours, I sober up quickly”, or “It’s just around the corner”. So this law won’t work as a deterrent; it’s a

Mercedes Streeter is wise.

Surely bikers, of all people, know about the risk of target fixation. Sometimes if something catches your eye in a particular way, the lizard part of your brain can steer towards it, before the intelligent part says “Hey, that’s a potential hazard, steer away”.

That sounds like a cool bike!

It’s not EV-specific. I had an old Mercedes (it was state-of-the-art when it was made) which developed an electrical fault in the main dashboard module; the pedals still worked to accelerate/brake &c but the car gave no feedback at all. No speedo, no turn signal sounds... like this Tesla. A bit worrying, but it should

OK, it’s not an American landyacht, but: This thing was a 5 metre long coupe, mostly sold in countries where the average car was about half the size (and the average car would have 4 doors and would be practical transport for a whole family). It was an extravagant waste of space.

Never forget: Jalopnik has the world’s worst cotomer sevis.

All my worst experiences *with airlines* have been with United. Well, maybe Afriqiyah Airways, but you don’t expect to enjoy travelling with a low-cost Libyan airline. United simply seem to have contempt for the customer; every member of staff is only there to follow an internal process until the end of their shift,

So where was Bruce’s aphasia when he imagined himself a rock star and totally trashed the Staple Singers’ Respect Yourself?

It works a little differently in the UK.

Sorry. Join the queue.

The An-225 is impressive, but it’s based on a 50-year-old design. Why not adapt something newer and more capable? Big modern 4-engined jets are dirt-cheap nowadays compared to the cost of a conversion project. There are C-17s parked in the desert, even newish 747s and A380s &c. Just look at Stratolaunch. The sky’s the

Unpopular opinion:

This is completely 100% true; but also, most of the people complaining about it (including me) buy a car that’s capable of 150mph and then spend most of their time in a traffic jam, moving at walking pace.

Extra star for using latin-style plurals on a fake-latin word! You deserve all the stars!

Who do we expect would remotely hack the plane to make it unflyable? The lessor who wants to get their plane back? Or the manufacturer who’s desperately trying to improve their reputation? Or an aviation safety regulator?

Just go after them with full maritime law then. I assume fire suppression, crew training, emergency measures, etc. are not up to snuff.

This is Jalopnik; on here, there’s only one good transport option to get to La Turbie.
