The Dynetics Human Landing System (DHLS, and sorry, space-apes) is interesting because of how close to the surface it is, especially when compared to the other lander designs, especially the SpaceX one you’ll see next.

That’s not the perfect pickup. This is. Prove me wrong :-)

So teal. So 80s. So styling. I love it!

The headlights may have been an evolutionary dead end, but the lines of the rear end are beautiful - especially the lid, which reminds me of the BMW E93 convertible (although Porsche got there decades earlier).

You should get a matching Bulgari Roma. Custom straps are easy, and I‘m sure they’ll do a custom dial colour too, if you have a Ferrari budget.

Time for some pedantry: Why not use interchangeäble tools, so you don’t have multiple booms adding weight & confusion? Why not just have a single arm, freeïng up precious bed space? And why would you have a grabloader (for loose materials) on a flatbed truck? Why the auger, if the truck apparently has no ability to

Don’t give attention to cannonball drivers, and definitely don’t give attention to Alex Roy. (The latter applies even if you’re a fan of stupidly criminal street-racing).

We’re not racing, we’re just doing 120mph so we can beat the other guy’s time!

Who thinks we should have more roman numerals in cars? I, for one!

If you’re citing an example of housebuying in a jurisdiction which also has crappy oldfashioned policies, it may not help your case.

Usually I’m scornful of people saying “But MY favourite activity is essential, the lockdown shouldn’t apply to me!”.

You won’t believe what happens next!

The W202 and W203 era C-class both had it - both mine were 4-pedal - but sadly they didn’t have any other foot-operated gadgets.

Contrarian opinion: I think that compressor-jumpstarter packs are a poor investment because the goal is reliability. Adding a small 12v battery to top up your big battery enough for a start is plausible but maybe not 100% certain after a bit of neglect and bad weather; relying on a very-rarely-used system to inflate

Looking at the doors, I think it’s actually based on the rare (and deeply impractical) Smart Crossblade:

I scrolled down to the comments section to post exactly that. Well done!

Mitch Kelleher is wise.

Why the urgency? If their new Nissans are delayed, that’s terrible, of course; but if they’ve been using these crappy 1980s Honkers they must at least have found a workable compromise, surely there isn’t a Honker problem now that they didn’t learn to live with 5 years ago or 10 years ago.

Why? Can’t the Polish army just go to a military-surplus site anywhere else in Europe and get a couple of hundred G-wagens and 4x4 MAN trucks? They won’t be new, admittedly, but they’ll be consistent (unlike the random collection of civilian vehicles that they’re requisitioning), the logistics are easier to manage,
