Recently I’ve been considering buying another car. My girlfriend said that a conventional Smart wasn’t big enough - “No room for the dog” - and this car *definitely* solves that problem. It’s a bit overpriced, but hey, how often do you see a stretch Smart? I like it. So sue me. :-)

Controversial opinion: Nomos watches are to Hodinkee what the MX-5 is to Jalopnik. :-)

There’s probably plenty of good column-inches to be written on car-branded-watches; purist watch bores would turn up their nose at most of those things, but there are some good opportunities to compare the two communities and their different ideals &c.

Stupidity isn’t the only problem. No one person is clever enough to understand all the economy and all the laws and all the political problems; so we try to choose leaders who can take expert advice, delegate problems, and coöperate with other parts of government.

84 hp/litre was seriously impressive in the 1950s. Some 1980s muscle cars offered lower specific output than that. And nowadays, 100hp/l is standard for a cheap hatchback. Time marches on...

The time has come.

The new Jimny is on my shortlist; I’d definitely consider buying one.

I ordered a thesaurus from Amazon. When it arrived, all the pages inside were blank!

Why not buckle a seatbelt in an empty seat? My current Volvo and Mercedes both have sensors which assume a passenger arse is sitting in them even if it’s actually a heavy work bag; I simply pull the seatbelt closed.

We’re totally covered against liability claims if we tell customers not to use the product that we sell!

Tesla drivers can also accessorise with one of these!

amgarre is wise.

Yeah, lots of people believe in a short-selling bogeyman which is somehow oppressing their favourite company.

Elhigh is wise.

Perfect. There is no better adventure than taking a car on a journey that it’s completely unsuited to.

Stephen is wise. $200k isn’t infinite - especially if there’s a small production run. There are tradeoffs at every price-point.
