I hope the US polls accurately depict what would happen in a GE, but be warned - the UK pollsters got it very wrong in the run-up to our GE of last year. I don't think I would sleep easily if it came down to Trump v Clinton or Sanders. Come to that, I'd be concerned if Cruz got the nomination - he's another nutter.

It must be horrible to be an intelligent, rational person in America right now. The rise of Trump must make it difficult not to think that at least half of the people around you are unintelligent and irrational. (I live in England, so it's more like a third.)

It's good to know it's not just me that thinks P&G is a classic. Daniel Lugo is Donald Trump in the way he is a vain, shallow, entitled idiot with a massive ego, constantly making exaggerated claims regarding his ability to 'get things done'. P&G is a pitch black satirical comedy that would make a great double bill

And Thunderbird 6 has a wonderful climax that emphasises Parker's selfless heroism. As a child, I was almost breathless with excitement, unable to see how they could possibly escape. I shed a quiet tear when my son reminded of my childhood self when he was beside himself at the denouement of Winter Soldier, unable

Captain Scarlet was considered so brave because despite being indestructible he experienced the pain of each 'death'. Those end credits haunt me.

Moonraker is a fantastic romp, but I'd argue Octopussy is even more enjoyable.

The parachute-swapping stunt in Moonraker was done for real, whereas the parachute-sharing stunt in Quantum was all CGI. One looks brilliant and one looks rubbish. One-nil to Roger Moore.

This episode was instalment #93 of Elementary so I'm not surprised that the writers have difficulty coming up with new cases. Personally, I think the perceived lack of character work has kept the series fresh. Compared to House, which had shot its bolt within the first two seasons due to the avalanche of tragic

The same label is applied to odd and socially awkward people in real life.

Indeed, on hearing Sherlock has not had sex for 47 days she says, "That's a long time - for you".

…and charisma.

I think I'll keep my wallet closed and go and see Captain America twice, instead.

Baskets is a great show, with a tone all its own. I watched the first few episodes before discovering that Chip's mother was played by a man in drag. It came as a surprise. I didn't recognise the actor, Louie Anderson, as I'm in the UK and he's not well known here. From the comments below, it seems the difficulty

"You Maniacs! You blew it up! Ah, damn you! God damn you all to hell!"

This is why you're all so fucking fat you fucking fat bastards.

C+? JLM's boyish smile at the conclusion of his meeting with Eugene at the end of the episode elevates the episode to a B at the very least. The scene was enhanced by another lovely sync (of Stories by Big Little Lions), something Elementary is good at, (though it makes inexplicable why the score is such a dogs

I was going to suggest Frequency as a good fire-fighting movie. I haven't watched the film for years, but I remember really enjoying it.

I am currently writing a script "White House Beat Down" in which Benedict Cumberbatch and Isis Elbow play a gay couple touring the White House when terrorists strike. All the American characters, including the President (Donny Drumpf), are useless and are killed off in a variety of ways before the last act in which

"This was an era where I was going out every night seeing Sparks, Berlin, Duran Duran, and Split Enz. Amazing acts doing really weird stuff…" Only a dullard could think those bands were either 'amazing' or 'weird'. And it's 'Kraftwerk', not Kraftwork. Now get out of my office - I never want to see your face again!

I'm sorry to have to agree with you. This episode was treading water. The impact of Sherlock telling the story of his mother's demise to Joan was completely muffled by being surrounded by stodgy, exposition-heavy scenes from a dull procedural. It's not unusual for shows to sag a little during the middle of their
