Honestly it’s kind of hard for me to get mad at the NYT for not letting you guess racial slurs in Wordle anymore. When “slave” and “lynch” were the words of the day (and they were both going to be), don’t you think they’d look bad on social media? I get why they wouldn’t want that.

So Wordle’s code has the page load a new puzzle at midnight, but doesn’t reload the entire page. So as long as you never F5 the tab, it’ll always just load in a new puzzle based on the version you began playing. Refresh, and you’ll find yourself with the new version on the NYT domain.
