Ugh, this is the opposite of what I hoped would happen. I was hoping Harmony Gold's copywrite would expire and the Macross franchise would be up for grabs again, freeing up the other series that have been produced in the thirty years since. Does HG have any other IPs?

I'd rather Harmony Gold stop peddling its bullshit claim it has the exclusive right to the Macross franchise in the west. It's utter bullshit, but no one has the stones to challenge them on it.
