I'm wondering if maybe some of them are the former gladiators, what with the way that scene was cut with Dani meeting with The Lorax.

I was hoping for "please tell me this isn't the first time GOT made you uncomfortable".
Yeah I think I know who you mean, though I'm not sure we 100% knew he was dead in the first place. But it would be a way of tying him to someone interesting he might otherwise avoid.
I think the latrine detail is the one part of Jon's big scene that isn't getting enough praise. He lets it hang in the air there, so that Slynt and even Thorne think they're going to get it as a childish insult. Then he gives it to one of his guys, who takes it good-naturedly, then he gives Thorne a genuine honor and…
No, was just thinking of the most important person possible, for humor. Not a very good joke, I suppose, since Arya already confirmed that they couldn't bring him back.
Hard to fault their choice of targets though, and their timing.
I think it's also nice that all the people who thought Sansa being badass would just mean wearing cool black dresses and talking in enigmas (this possibly includes Sansa) now know that she's going into really dangerous territory.
This Ain't The Seven XXX.
It showed some rare foreknowledge on Pycelle's part to see that what happened to the Septon could happen to him. I've liked the few times they've shown him to be less dumb that he acts but it's been a while.
And of course there's the stealth current of how Ramsay is constantly disobeying Roose's orders when they're not in the same location, and then just lying about it. Given the disparity in his version of the Theon gelding vs. Greyjoy instransigence thing, I wonder if he even gave that family the chance to pay there…
And we already got that full effect with The Hound.
Too mentions of The Stranger in one episode! And Stranger-whore's getup was rather disturbing, as it should be.
Ned?
I kept expecting Jon to play the "If our roles were reversed you would turn down the offer" card on Stannis. Seems like he'd be the one person who would understand. And/or have Stannis say "if you had accepted my offer I would have lost all respect for you."
"He used to be on Arya's list. Must be dead now."
Could be he's so confident of his plan he thinks Ramsay will never bed her, a la Joffrey, Tyrion & Robin. Which is a crazy level of confidence but LF has always had a deep belief in himself.
Or Sansa as Queen! Perhaps she can marry Pod and make him King.
Agreed. It also works as a commentary on just how many characters the series has chewed up. Even as a book reader I'd forgotten half those people existed until I saw them again.
For me that was just him doing what he had to do to survive that moment (even if made possible by his previous decisions). This was him executing a plan to do something that John couldn't have done, and doing it in front of everybody.
Yes! Pity object and source of spoooookiness (though I suppose that's more Patchface).
