I totally get you have to deal with complete idiots 10x more often than not, but I get really frustrated when I deal with service providers (mostly ISPs who try to blame you no matter what) and I know what I'm talking about and refuse to believe me.

Personally, I almost always go with a store brand when it's cheaper except for: ketchup, cereal (depending on the cereal), and canned soup. For pretty much everything else I just buy what's on sale.
