Don’t think about these as rules, or laws, but more like general guidelines. Lanes and roads get blocked. People don’t see lights change cause they watch for pedestrians. It’s not criminal, it’s crowded. And everyone has shit to do.

All that said, the 33 dwarfs most other cars in is beauty.

It’s really about the crank throw. A 2 liter I4 will have twice the throw of the 2L V8. This will mean that the I4 will make more torque, but probably not rev as high or quickly as the V8. When racing, you generally want to keep your speeds high, and your engine running near the top of the RPM band. That’s also where

It originally had steelies, with caps (like in the picture above of the TR2), but my Father (for whom I purchased the car), wanted wire wheels, since that’s what he had on his Austin Healey 3000-BJ8. The steelies were pretty rusty, and I didn’t want to try to restore them.

Actually, you can sit and hang your arm outside the door and touch the ground. It’s pretty low. The seats sit on the flat of the floor pan, and they aren’t all that thick. And the ride height is about 4.5 inches.

Nonsense... Zoe’s Tale completes the story of the Odin. And is pretty funny. The Sagan Diary you can skip. Pretty much the only unreadable thing Scalzi has written.

Depends. The coil is already engineered to be a high current, high voltage item, so the EMP would really need to hit it pretty hard. It’s also shielded by the surrounding metal, to some degree.

Frame off restoration of a 1959 TR3A finished 9 years ago this weekend. It was a basket case.

Maybe, but the components and tech are proven, mostly. Invest in Lithium and Cobalt.

There’s a saying... “It may be that your sole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.” This is a proclamation, and if unheeded, may result in your death. Joshua Brown ignored repeated autopilot notifications, and will be remembered for his failures.

Now I’ve seen a Turkish Ziggy Stardust.

Yeah. It’s like a trusty mule though. It never fails, but it’s not gonna be fun.

As a software engineer, I’ve been writing code for 20 years. I still look at the keyboard for symbols like @$%#, or when I’m doing numbers. Aside from that, general prose like this is done without looking at the keyboard.

Ugh. Not another sedan. We don’t need that. What we need is a mini-van or mini-van sized SUV. Get it down to $45k, and every soccer mom will have to have one. Give it enough range to drop the kids off, get groceries, pick the kids up, and get to soccer (or swim class), and home again before needing any sort of charge

Some drivers would prefer not to have the vehicle dynamics constantly changing. Batteries solve this issue, mostly. Charged batteries do weigh more than depleted batteries, but I doubt anyone will notice those few micrograms.

On flat ground, it’s no problem. 5th gear is only about 4.5 (3.2:1 vs 0.7:1) times worse than 1st. I’ve done no-gas starts in every gear in my old Civic. That 100 lbs of torque from the 1.6L is enough if you feather it right.

Probably not. But hey, looks like you’ve been on the road awhile. How about stopping by Sonic for a slushy or a hotdog. Or for a few dollars, you can relax in your car and Dominos will bring you a pizza. And while you wait, how about watching a still in theaters movie on the center console screen for just a few

The issue with your L-shape Slow Lane area is that is expands the lane footprint. You should instead have the seats be immediately aft the conveyor, followed by a small table, all in line with the conveyor. This means the “fast lane” just needs to walk around the slow folks that are getting dressed well out of the way

You’re amazed people are lazy?

Those that fail to correctly use the auto-pilot system won’t survive. The problem is self correcting.
