Ugh. Not another sedan. We don’t need that. What we need is a mini-van or mini-van sized SUV. Get it down to $45k, and every soccer mom will have to have one. Give it enough range to drop the kids off, get groceries, pick the kids up, and get to soccer (or swim class), and home again before needing any sort of charge

Some drivers would prefer not to have the vehicle dynamics constantly changing. Batteries solve this issue, mostly. Charged batteries do weigh more than depleted batteries, but I doubt anyone will notice those few micrograms.

On flat ground, it’s no problem. 5th gear is only about 4.5 (3.2:1 vs 0.7:1) times worse than 1st. I’ve done no-gas starts in every gear in my old Civic. That 100 lbs of torque from the 1.6L is enough if you feather it right.

Probably not. But hey, looks like you’ve been on the road awhile. How about stopping by Sonic for a slushy or a hotdog. Or for a few dollars, you can relax in your car and Dominos will bring you a pizza. And while you wait, how about watching a still in theaters movie on the center console screen for just a few

The issue with your L-shape Slow Lane area is that is expands the lane footprint. You should instead have the seats be immediately aft the conveyor, followed by a small table, all in line with the conveyor. This means the “fast lane” just needs to walk around the slow folks that are getting dressed well out of the way

You’re amazed people are lazy?

Those that fail to correctly use the auto-pilot system won’t survive. The problem is self correcting.

So far so good. This is just the first death in about 10,000,000 miles of autonomous driving.

Sure. I can understand that, but these cars aren’t being flung into the sun, they still exist even after being crushed. They’ll be smelted down and recycled, most likely, and that means someone has profited.

My XJ used to run 3.83 from the AX-15 to a Klune-V 4:1, to a Atlas 2 6:1, into the 4.10:1 rear. 376:1 final drive. It was mostly a gimmick. It is neat, but not nearly as useful as it seems when you’re building it. I spent most of my time in 2nd gear (2.33:1), with the 4:1 Klune engaged and the Atlas in 4 wheel 1:1. It

I’m going to guess that the wheel stretched and the clear coat flaked off. if it was hazed from heat from the tire, it’d be darker near the tire. If it was heat from friction with the air, it’d affect the spokes as well. If it was scoured off (from sand or road debris), it’d affect the spokes too.

Step 1. Give it to Singer.

I laughed so hard my co-workers were wondering what was so funny.

Pretty much every time I say, “for a 1997 Cherokee” they ask, “Grand?”. No you moron.

I’ve personally owned two. A 1994 2-door in green (and rust) and 2000 XJ 2-door in silver that I wish I’d never sold. Live and learn.

They exist. It’s just that the final drive ratio is so close to another that it isn’t really useful. The unimog has a working RPM range of about 550 RPM, which means it goes from about 1250 RPMs at idle to 1800 or so. It can go higher, but that doesn’t net more torque.

U is for Unlimited, which is the 4 door variant. No U and it’s the less popular 2 door. And R is for Rubicon. Thus, JKUR is a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, Rubicon Edition.

AC Cobra. Once I saw one, I was hooked. Been looking for a decent well priced replica for years.

Auto-drive engaged.

If you’ve driven one, you’d understand why it isn’t on the list. Recent models are so “teched-out” that the tech in new ones already feels old. And the buttons. God there are so many damned buttons!!!
