What I couldn't understand is why Jimmy didn't just pay Lance to say he was a regular customer. Hell, to reinforce things, Jimmy could just happen to be in the store when Chuck came back, making copies like he does all the time. It would have instantly negated Chuck's argument.

Meow Meow Beans.

No, my kids and I watched a few episodes the other night and they're in cut-off, 4:3 glory on our TV.

Insane, isn't it? When you figure the highest number of Flag Points you could get was 10 (I think) for vehicles and 1-5 for figures, that's a whole lot of sales to get 50 points x 125,000.

Mental Floss did an exhaustive (almost too exhaustive) history of G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero last year that was worth checking out: http://mentalfloss.com/arti…

Gone, Baby, Gone or Gone Girl?

I like this weird little podcast called "When You Hear This Sound" that replays old read-along record books. A while back they did an episode called "Doctor Who and the Pescatons" about killer sharkmen invading London. Thanks for the reply. I thought I found the big flaw in Jimmy's plan - that he didn't check the rule book…again - but it sounds like it might lead nowhere. I guess we'll find out.

Old Borders Bookstores. At least the ones that haven't been converted into Used DVD/CD/Books/Video Games stores already.

Holy shit…

I love the control panels from the original Taking of Pelham 123. The analog-ness of it all, what with the trail of light bulbs, the lit bulbs representing the trains on the track, is just so ingenious and lovely to look at.

Everyone complaining about the UFO seems to be overlooking the similar role UFOs played in the Coen's pretty-much-forgotten film, "The Man Who Wasn't There".

I have - twice now, actually. I won a copy of Hobo with a Shotgun on DVD and my daughter was lucky enough for me to win a copy of a My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic DVD. So, yes, unlike Publisher's Clearing House, some people actually do win this stuff.

Werewolf?

Holy shit, this just changed my life…

Mental Floss did a really cool history of Animaniacs a few years ago:

I like that quite a bit, but I wonder if it would have been a little too close to what we've seen with Abigail as Hannibal and Will's surrogate daughter. There was definitely a little bit of back-and-forth, custody battle between her two dads that caused some tension.
