Personally I think Warren is g0ing to win the nomination. The story about her going into West Virginia to speak about the opiod crisis gave me Obama deja vu. She knows what she’s doing.

Regardless of how the top 5 were divided across the two debates, any combination of 3-2 or 4-1 would have gotten people putting their tinfoil hats on. It’s just probability. This first debate with 11 people per night will have absolutely no impact on the election.

Nah the reason she made it to that ‘heat’ is it was a random draw.

This was a random draw, unless you’re suggesting they’re lying about that. Definitely agree that which debate she participates in this month will have absolutely no bearing on her chances of winning the nomination.

Reading the article is one thing, watching him actually say that makes a red haze come over my eyes. I’d stop coming to Splinter for the sake of my stress level if I didn’t think all of this weren’t so important.

Something about Miller being uncomfortable with this makes me almost as depressed as Scalise’s plan in the first place.

Either you’re a “Ken M” level commenter in which case, well done, or I think we just identified why Trump is President of our country more than any New York Times profile about small town economic anxiety ever could.

Hardhome was basically the greatest thing I’ve ever seen on television, so whatever compromise they came to was the optimal solution.

I think the point is they spent a few hours uninterrupted together on a quasi mission and had a beautiful drive home. Spot on with your second paragraph!

Can I just say that as long as we have “Hyde Amendments” that prevent Federal tax dollars from being used to fund things that might upset some taxpayers, I would like a Hyde Amendment that prevents my tax dollars from being used to fund wars that murder innocent people in other countries, please.

This is the only thing that has to be said about the whole issue.

Sorry, I’m not clever enough to be able to guess or infer what the “worst part about running for President is” that was off the record. Can someone spell it out for me?

My commencement speaker raped 54 women, usually by slipping roofies in their drinks.

He also thought that China paid tariffs on goods that the US imports, so that China was putting money directly into the US treasury. In reality, the importing companies (e.g. Vandelay industries) pay tariffs and pass the fees onto the consumer.

If you haven’t watched Game of Thrones before, can you please also write a review on the final episode where you complain the whole time that nothing makes sense?

Didn’t read the article, but I’m assuming he’s a Republican.

While I agree with you, you could have made this same point without being such a dick about it, which takes away from what you’re trying to say.

I don’t come in here often, so maybe this is a well-traveled conversation, but aren’t touch screens in cars asking for distracted driving? The more you reduce tactical feedback for things like climate control, audio, etc., the more you have to look away from the road to be able to make these changes as you drive.

Regarding this ‘stolen’ joke:

Eh, there are 300 million people in the USA. Not every one of them has learned every social convention that you think is normal.
