That was the best thing I’ve seen all day. Thank you for posting it. Hope it takes off.

Yes! You found his weak point. Now take your knife and jab it in there. Twist it slowly. Four articles a week. Keep going until he’s lost all of his shine and luster. He can’t be allowed to be perfect and inspiring. We must make him bleed. Take him down, Splinter.

I’m not sure how you can just casually throw out “they probably could have won three or four more Super Bowls” like it’s no big deal.

The type of reasoning in this post is the same type that people who don’t believe in climate change use.

Nice, we definitely needed another article about this.

Trump thought health insurance costs $12 a month.

These complaints are so predictable. “Can you imagine the backlash if Brad Pitt said he would never work with a black director?” I bet the same guy is mad that black people can call each other the N word but he’s not allowed to say it.

Trump has definitely monopolized the vote of people who don’t understand parts of speech.

I love AOC so much. I’m 38 and I can’t remember another politician who consistently says to Republicans what I think in my head every damn day. Why has it taken so long to get someone like her?

When you write a post can you please try using normal words and sentence structure so my head doesn’t explode trying to read it? Thanks bud.

What is this magical “Finland” you speak of where you don’t have to pay to go to the hospital? Do they all ride unicorns over rainbow bridges too? Stop making stuff up, you’re better than this.

Right, but the question is, why was Clinton that unpopular? How much of it was due to populist hit pieces on her? We obviously can’t quantify that, but the answer is “some amount”. If it’s a significant amount, then it might have made an impact on the election; hence my point that we probably shouldn’t try to tear

Easy to say that after the fact. Maybe you and your friends did, in which case, good work. But the national conventional wisdom at this point in 2007 was that we weren’t ready for an African American president and he wouldn’t have a chance if he made the general.

Yeah he was great, no argument there. But we’re talking about media and Twitter attacks on Beto, not attacks on him from other candidates.

Yeah that could be true. Hard to test but makes sense. It probably hurt Hillary in 2016 though, and despite all of her flaws (and a number of other reasons she lost) we’d still be much better off with her over our current President.

Yeah I don’t think anyone should try to tell you to vote for someone because he or she has the best chance to beat Trump. You should vote for the person who matches your values and whom you think would be the best President. Don’t compromise your principles in the primary.

Fair enough, I can see your perspective. I have issues with the Democratic party as well. But I’d much rather have Beto than Trump in 2020 even though I’m not voting for him in the primary.

While I agree that it would have been good for him to be more specific, I think it’s the larger concern that Democrats have that they are going to tear down all of their candidates in the primary for fairly innocent shit. This is a good example of that. There is a new critical post about Beto on here every day. I

If I ever saw that float in person I would go to the nearest hardware store and buy some extremely flammable solvent and a lighter and then go back to the float and set it on fire, and film the whole thing and send it exclusively to Splinter.

We had our loans financed through ACS. We paid down about $30K of my wife’s student loans and refinanced the rest with SoFi. The remaining total was $42,000 or so, and the interest rate went down (forget how much it is but definitely < 5% APR). We’ll save about $15,000 or so. We pay $650 / month and through
