I didn’t even have a choice to stop reading. The spoiler was in the headline, on my sports website. That’s my primary complaint.

It’s even harder when you’re up to date on the series, but are still getting spoiled by someone who talks to the director about what happens in unaired episodes.
No prob. Agreed!
A lot of interviews now will ask about specific examples of things you’ve done in the past that may apply to the position you’re interviewing for. So one way to prepare for the interview is to just recall about a dozen anecdotes of times you’ve managed conflict, change, or other challenges previously. If you have…
I thought it was more overly aggressive than passive, actually.
Haha, nice.
Again, it was an unaired episode. There was no possible way to watch it before I found out what happened. And it was cross-posted to a sports website that I frequent.
Obviously that plot point is being telegraphed in the show, so I expected it to happen. But I also thought “maybe they’re setting up that expectation but will change course at the last minute! Maybe Sam will barge in as they’re about to do it and announce Dany is Jon’s aunt! (not that that seems to stop people in…
Touche. Sorry I’m just a little worked up about it.
Except it was cross-posted to Deadspin on the second day the AV Club was on Kinja. I was expecting to read about sports, instead I got a serious spoiler for my favorite TV show.
I’ll try, but I was really mad about that. And I rarely get mad at the Internet because it’s dumb. But this affected my real life enjoyment of a show I really like.
I’m all caught up. I’ve seen every episode twice. The article is about an episode that NOBODY HAS SEEN. It’s completely different.
Exactly. If I weren’t current with the show I wouldn’t care at all. But this episode hasn’t aired yet. It’s completely different than the other sites that post a recap as soon as the episode airs, those are much less annoying.
What? No, that’s a terrible argument. It’s a headline for an episode that hasn’t aired yet. It doesn’t matter if it’s predictable or not. It’s a fundamental principle of watching TV.
I thought about it! But I decided I would rather let people find out what happens in TV shows on their own rather than telling them about it in headlines before it happens.
Instead of yet another ‘nerd who knows nothing about sports publicly tries to learn about sports’ article, maybe you should try harder not to spoil Game of Thrones plots in headlines of the other articles you write??
It’s OK, it’s only one of the most important moments of the TV series I’ve been watching for six years, cross-posted to Deadspin and sprayed all over the top of the page.
Didn’t read the article cuz spoilers, but (A) welcome back to Kinja (B) WHY THE FUCK are you posting spoilers in article titles? I mean, come on man!
When I visited China, I found that the concept of a line was as foreign as I was.
At Trader Joe’s I have three parking spots for my grocery cart, and I use that as the base while I walk around a few aisles, grab things off the shelf, and put them in the cart.
