Cab drivers I’ve talked to prefer not to pick certain people up late hours. These assumptions are based on experience, not just race. Same concept when landlords prefer not to rent to certain folks. It’s because many destroy their property.

Jesus, hasn’t this been redesigned enough times in the last 5 years?
So you are saying every single person who owns a TDI has a loan on their vehicle?
This is just part of the Italian character in new age Chrysler vehicles. Always an interesting ride.
Nice work Raphael, I was starting to enjoy not seeing Gawker’s political bullshit everyday. Might as well inject the narrow minded liberal opinions into Jalopnik in their absence.
The worst, yes.
Everyone knows black people are terrible drivers.
I would be so embarrassed to be seen in this thing. Every boy racers dream! Sorry, way too wild looking, anyone that can afford it will look elsewhere.
You can’t polish a turd.
Dipshit? Alright bud. I guess every magazine and journalist out there is using the wrong lingo and only you, the almighty authority of automotive, are correct. I award you a medal of being the sharpest linguist in the room. Clap clap clap.
There’s obviously no explaining this to you that will get through your thick head. A VW Touareg is a well built vehicle. They are in the shop constantly. Explain how it’s not well built.
I’ve owned more GM cars than any European. Prefer Euro. Euro cars are well built and typically horribly unreliable after 100k. GM vehicles tend to be fairly dependable after 100k miles but they are certainly not well built. It’s very easy to make a decades old power plant reliable. There is also nothing wrong…
So you know of one person with an Aura, you are clearly the authority over a repair shop.
I’m not in the body business. All forms of repair otherwise. My repair shop makes most of it’s money from GM vehicles. I have far more experience in actual build quality than most anyone commenting on this board. Some people just refuse to accept certain truths. I’ve owned many GM products, more so than any other…
Depends on the model, but GM is certainly better than most Japanese when it comes to interior build quality at the present time.
You’ve been drinking the GM koolaid for far too long. The cars you have been driving are not competitive in build quality at all, unless you are comparing them to fisher price toys. The 14 Lacrosse is a huge improvement, really nice car, but it still isn’t built as well as a Lexus ES350.
You clearly don’t have a solid grasp on the auto repair industry.
I’m in the repair business so I’ve seen more of these cars than you ever will. They have terrible build quality. Junk plastic everywhere. The powertrains are very reliable, I completely agree. I’ve owned many GM trucks over the years. Reliable but crap build quality.
I wouldn’t argue they have improved, but so has everyone else. My response was also directed at someone trying to defend 04-09 Malibus and Saturns. All of which have horrible build quality. I am a big GM fan, but criticism leads to improvement and they have definitely come a long way.
