Too bad Saab didn’t survive after GM. And no Opal brand on our shores (but maybe a few badge engineered vehicles)

Great advice. CPO from the dealership that sold the car (like VW or Audi) is a good bet. But a Audi on a Ford or Chevy lot with a warranty - RUN.
More often than not, or most of the time, I only see one person behind the wheel of a SUV.
I’ve ridden in Atlanta for years. 10 fingers, 10 toes.
It will be a fine, fine day indeed with the mania for SUVs wanes. Rolling billboards. Lousy to middling fuel economy. Oh with technology, even mommy can drive it with one finger, play with her phone and drink her Star*blucks. (spelling correct). As a two wheel pilot, I can’t see over ‘em, around ‘em and all they seem…
Best, by far? Seeing a flat bed truck haul away our 1985 VW Vanagon Westfalia. After 2 engines, constant fiddling, finally coming to the conclusion that someone else would enjoy it more.
I want an electric motorcycle in the worst way. I’m going with Zero though, unless the motor company can make it look like anything other than a freaking Harley Davidson. And I don’t need it to go “potato potato potato” down the road either.
Reminds me when I was a college at The University of Georgia. Not 2 blocks from campus, low income housing. And a 10 foot high fence, with razor wire, all the way around it. This was back in the raging 80's of course.
A lack of truckers is just going to fuel more autonomous trucks and shipping. Ultimately they will probably be lined up in the right hand lane like pachyderms, slowly plodding to their final destination and offload area.
While in college, Cycle Specialties of Athens GA was my hang out. Ducati, Moto Guzzi, Benelli, Aprilia, if it was Italian, they worked on it. Back then “desmo” was a “dark science” but oh the memories. Rare Works Ducatis, and all the guys who raced at Road Atlanta would come to John Hoffman’s shop (RIP John Hoffman)…
Having owned a TR7 (turd) and many (38 and counting) air cooled BMWs. Pass. The worst of all worlds.
If he likes the Mini, why not look at a Mini Cooper S Countryman All 4? It’s a BMW X1 in Mini drag, but it’s a Mini. And you can get a manual 6 speed in it too.
Mom was an RN, SWMBO is a Nurse Practitioner. Bleach for an infection is much much monumentally better than an infection. Toughen up cupcakes, this is a wild world.
I do most of travel on two wheels. Audi only for rain, snow or when I need AC.
Thank you. Better than the NY Times Obit.
God, when are they going to abandon those ugly front ends and get back to aerodynamics and less angular body panels (that are destined for repair)
California is the 4th or 5th largest economy on this planet. Let California dictate what we can and can’t drive and we’ll be a lot better off ecologically.
Keep teasing. This is what I’ll have to haul out of NZ or OZ in 20 years.
Having owned both a Samurai and a Sidekick, oh how I wish they would bring them back. So capable, fuel efficient, fun to drive and easy to fix yourself.
Elon is under a lot of stress. Model 3 problems. I’m going to give ‘em a “bye”, in that you are aloud one or two - and given what he’s done, hell yes the Sierra Club can stand up for ‘em. Steady on Elon, get the holy fooking hell off Twitter (and stay off it) and get on with the task at hand. Solar, Space, boring…
