I’ve owned a Willys, Type 1 Beetle, ‘71 Mini. So, three out of ten. Knew where a TC was hidden in a garage in my home town, and lusted mightily for decades over the only one of two BMWs auto I’d own, the 2002 TII, the other BMW? 3.0 CSI of course. Gotta love that old shark.

Anyone that buys off a dealer lot is either in dire need of a car, likes the dealership, or just doesn’t give a whit. Pity. You should drive what you want, and buy what you want - not what the dealership necessarily has in stock. I’ve ridden Greyhound, more than a couple times, to pick up cars or motorcycles a

Flint, MI woes have been going on for years. We have short memories in America. Anyone remember “Roger & Me”? Pets or Meat?

1) he from England, not the US

I live in NC, but my sister lives in SC. Every time I come off the hill (as we are in the mountains) I have to pass a racist compound not two or three miles from Furman University. Rebel flags fly, and “southern heritage” signs too. Mind you, not too far past is “Cranky Yankee’s Antiques”. Never a dull moment here in

After selling VWs (I still want to sue for the lies they trained me, over and over again, to regurgitate), Audi, and Porsches, I will never, ever buy a new car again.

I wouldn’t walk across the street to say “hi” to any of ‘em.

Mom had a Audi 5000S Auto... and it’s what I learned to “hoon” in. There was a bridge in town that if you hit it fast enough, you could “fly” over it... and rip off the fog lights. Did that twice. Ultimately, she traded it on a Subaru. 5 days afterward, the dealership called and asked if there had ever been any

Never, ever underestimate the power of a woman. O’Riely is probably thinking the same about now...

200,000 on my first Roadcrafter. I bought it back in the late 80's. I lived on a BMW R75/7 during pauper times. No matter the weather, if I wanted to go, I had to ride. The Roadcrafter was simply a game changer. I sold it for $300, and my wife got me a new Roadcrafter for Christmas two years ago. At this rate, I’ll

G5 tower still rocking a Sony Apple Studio display and a Flat Panel Apple Studio display. 1 terrabyte of drive, 16 gig of ram. Runs OS8 and OSX. Mainly used for music and e-mail and web surfing, with a little web work using Adobe Pagemill (dead software) in OS8 mode. Old Fetch FTP works just fine. That old box is

Truly love this... first car was a ‘59 Willys Overland Wagon 4x4... Mom drove a Jeepster, and Dad had a ‘55 Pickup (with small block V8) and a Cab Over that was perfect.. Nothing would stop those old Jeeps, and all they needed was a little maintenance now and then. Thanks for resurrecting some great old memories.

Looks like it fell down the Fugly tree and hit every branch on the way down.

Owned 5 R80G/S over the years; did cross contienent journies with ‘em. Great bikes. Just enough. When prices got silly, I got out. Had a Cagiva Elefant too.. 750 engine. Great fun and gobs of powerband. Fun fun.

I was somewhere in Missouri on my ‘77 BMW R75/7. It was only running on only one cylinder. Look! Ahead! Is that an officer in a car?! I find a parking space, walk up to find...

Buckle up kiddies, we’re in for a long hard ride.

Sigh. Red heads... my “first” was an auburn haired girl... and there were a couple others prior to marrying miss SWMBO. Nice memories. I love humans of all shapes, sizes and colours.

Uh German? By way of Tennessee. Where it is built.

New Mexico, Arizona, Arkansas... had cheap hotel rooms in all. Clean, TV and a hot shower.

Plenty of light, usually well cleared (as they change billboards) and an access road. Plus, no one really futzes with you there.
