As much as I dislike George W. Bush, I’m okay with this. I think this is a time for unity and there is no better show of unity right now than of the current Democratic President and the previous Republican President coming to the service together. I doubt it will heal any rifts in Washington, but I’ll take what I can…

I totally get that. It feels like someone decided that Star Trek needed a gay character and instead of putting in the effort to write in one they just decided to lazily say that one of the main characters is now gay. This makes it feel more like checking a box than it does a tribute. Then again, the new Star Trek…
