Yeah, my first thought on reading this was, “But is it bullying, though? Is it?”

I was thinking exactly the same thing!

I agree that bullying isn’t the right word, because I think bullying requires a sort of targeted deliberate offensiveness that isn’t present here. It’s offensive, it’s a kind of microaggression, but it’s not necessarily bullying.

Yeah, especially in the context she wrote about it being used as a means of branding your argument as good or important rather than as an accurate descriptor of the situation.

While I do really think that photoshopping should be for things like blurring some bad skin or editing out flyaways, can you cal photoshopping someone’s jaw bullying? It does seem offensive to her because they felt the need to alter her so much, but is bullying the right word here?

Waiting for Jia to decide whether or not Rumer is allowed to call this “bullying.”

THEY DID SOMETHING I DON’T LIKE THEREFORE BULLYING

It’s ridiculous how many people apparently don’t see how calculated this entire “event” has been. Bey AND Jay are playing everyone all the way to the bank.

Yes I’m sure this is not a carefully calculated move on both their parts or anything.

Mar-ket-ing

Who’s to say that he would be taking on an incendiary tone?

Oh, look, the guy who thinks people in their 20s shouldn’t be hungover at brunch, a meal almost specifically designed for hungover 20somethings.

This is a really good essay about a horrible experience; the idea that producers are fine with the idea of invading somebody’s life like this baffles me as much as the reality that enough people sign the release to make it worth their while.

I abhor this show. Just this week, we had a good guy with a gun shot for trying to (stupidly) intervene in a domestic dispute. This show portrays people with the good sense not to get involved in spats as ignorant and immoral. Sorry, but who knows what people are capable of in this day and age and who knows what

So. Fucked. Up.

At least they aren’t showing the episode and it’s a semi-happy ending. Jess is a starfucking asshole.

She looks like hell for only being 45...

When your first response to “how has your wife changed you” is “well, she gives me a lot of pleasure” ... that is not a healthy dynamic.

I expected Nicki to have said something nasty, but instead it's just Demi making something out what seems to be nothing. Worst feud ever.

The two might be related. Knowing that he was to see an addiction doctor the next day may have caused him to take an even greater dose than usual: the fear that arises when we believe that we are to be deprived of something that has become necessary to us.
