I think they have more power by staying in the democratic party and caucusing with other progressives meaning they can still fracture the party from within (Freedom Causus-style). For now, they are extremely popular with Democrats and have a chance of stealing the party away away from the centrists in the near future.

I get what you’re saying but there is an importance to running rather than just starting off with an endorsement. He keeps his supporters engaged and DONATING MONEY. His endorsement is more valuable down the line with both of those.

They replaced Kyrie with a worse player (by your admission) so I think worst case scenario is they are worse than last year?
