Aagh, that was the only thing that bugged me about Reach: there is one female squad member, and she's awesome, and she is the *only* one who doesn't get to go out in a blaze of glory. She is essentially shoved in the refrigerator for the sympathy of the assumed male player.
It's also absurdly easy to make with a bit of nori, veggie oil, and sea salt! Seriously, like 15 minutes.

Super late comment, but - IMO, what the show needed more was moments of peace, not necessarily levity. Moments like the Galactica pulling up to the refueling station, to combat the grim and gritty.
