That is a good explainer, and you’re right that the underbody tray is not the only reason that this happened. But it also happened to a Nissan GTR just a couple years ago at the NurburgRing. Maybe the GTR team made some of the same mistakes with not enough downforce up front and a soft rear suspension.  But if…

It can create more downforce, until you hit an unexpected rise that causes extra air to get underneath, then it creates lift. Just ask Mercedes...

If Integral Powertrain reuses their existing know-how and hardware from the ID.R, then the Lotus will still have Yasa motors in it, which is the same as the Koenigsegg Regera....
