Interesting.  Once you know that, and you look at the gif I posted, it’s kind of obvious.  Surely there’s a fix for that.  An expensive engineered fix, but a fix.

Beat me to it. Was trying to find a good gif though...

That is a good explainer, and you’re right that the underbody tray is not the only reason that this happened. But it also happened to a Nissan GTR just a couple years ago at the NurburgRing. Maybe the GTR team made some of the same mistakes with not enough downforce up front and a soft rear suspension.  But if

It can create more downforce, until you hit an unexpected rise that causes extra air to get underneath, then it creates lift. Just ask Mercedes...

I’m sure we all realize this and this is a silly post, but words have meaning and we need to be careful to use them correctly. This is how we end up with 4 door coupes

Complete, in the sense of every 2nd, 3rd, 4th owner? No.... But in the internet age, every 1st owner, yes.  And if you’re owner #2(+) and you’ve been to a dealer, yes.

Username checks out.

Since the cohesiveness of this plan is already obvious, I think you guys can come up with a better name than “Integral Powertrain”.  I anxiously await your IPO.

Although, now that I’m looking again... looks like Integral makes their own motors.  Could have sworn the ID.R used YASA.... maybe they licensed the tech and used that as a jumping off point for their own development.  I know that’s what Tesla did.  The original Roadster drivetrain was based on tech made by AC

If Integral Powertrain reuses their existing know-how and hardware from the ID.R, then the Lotus will still have Yasa motors in it, which is the same as the Koenigsegg Regera....

There are a lot of them that are whackjobs, they just usually don’t fly that flag publicly, for various reasons.

Obviously, Gompertz decided to go with the big man in the sky rather than the flying hood ornament lady.

Did you try to steal the artisanal axe maker’s logo?

If you’re rich enough to buy another build slot before the latest one (that you already paid for) is even delivered, of course you don’t have to wait.

Don’t forget the rack and peanut steering.

If the watermark is accurate, guy is not nameless or unknown. Risking his career? Debatable.... might get less access in the future.
He’s a youtuber who is known for a love of Corvettes:

...The IDR is impressive, but it’s a one-trick pony. It’s only the best because it gets re-tailored to the specific task every single time....

With rising gas prices, rising exposure of EVs and climate science, and the amazing performance of electric motors, it would be a huge sell for a large portion of the pickup truck market.
