Hasn’t Tom Brady been wearing the same helmet since 1972? You don’t see them asking him to switch.

Exhibit #7,432 for why I stopped going to NFL games
My friend and his brother are huge Lions fans, in New York, for god knows whatever reason. I think Barry Sanders is to blame. Anyway, they talked so much shit that preseason. Watching them go 0-16 was glorious.
I hate the Rawlings-MLB combination. There’s a really cool article in the last Sports Illustrated about the guy who makes the mud that all MLB balls are rubbed with before being used. His total revenue is about $12,000 a year, and of course MLB has Rawlings working feverishly trying to develop a ball that does not…
When I got home from work, I went into a drawer and looked at something. I’ve caught two foul balls at MLB games, one in 1994 and one last season. The difference in the balls is dramatic. The stitches on the old one are so much more pronounced. The drag coefficient on the newer balls is minimal compared to the older…
I’m far from a Play the Game the Right Way guy. I love seeing players show emotion and I’m all for bat flips and pitchers pumping their fists after a big strikeout. What I can’t stand, on any level of play, is people who put themselves above the good of their team. I preach that to the kids I coach, and always played…
You could also say that’s the prime reason they couldn’t retain Machado.
I was at a Mets game the other night. Now that they put the exit velocity up on the scoreboard, it’s scary to see the speeds the ball is coming off the bat. Regularly over 110mph. Pitchers can’t react to that. Everything I’m hearing is that it’s related to the seams. They’re tighter and are creating less drag, which…
So I guess this is how you haze rookies in the NFL now. Instead of taping them to a goalpost or making dress up in drag, you just tell the media he’s got a sweaty ass.
It took them 20 years, but they finally figured out a way to recreate the HR binge of the 90s without the worry of a messy fallout from steroids. I actually feel bad though for pitchers who will probably end up losing their careers because the changes to the ball has affected the movement of their pitches.
I can’t stand Sterling. I do love however when he misjudges a hit, and since he has to launch into his routine so early to get it all in, you hear “IT IS HIGH, IT IS FAR, IT IS.....oh, did he catch it? Oh. That‘s the second out at Aaron Judge pops out to the 3rd baseman.”
He’s like a God-like figure to them. They love his routine for whatever reason.
I give the guy a little credit for caring enough about a benching at this point to fight his manager over it.
Counterpoint. If it’s a beer league, is hitting for the cycle really something that special?
My wife and I once went to a restaurant known for its view, and they sat us same side of the table to both enjoy it. It was so weird and uncomfortable the I got up and moved after 5. Minutes.
It’s definitely Conforto or Rosario, considering most people calling into WFAN wanted to trade either or both for Realmuto in the offseason. I can’t believe how many “Nimmo is better than Conforto” calls there were.
I’m riding this train until it falls off the tracks!
“She is also weirdly barefoot for much of the movie”
I used to play beer league softball, and one time one of the guys smacked the shit out of the ball, jogged to 1st, and stayed there. It was a close game, and he easily could have gotten a double out of it. We asked if he got hurt or anything, and he said “No, I’m good, I just needed a single for the cycle.” Douchebag.
Agreed. My son is almost 12, and is obsessed with baseball. The time and effort that goes into it is unbelievable. I’ve coached his little league teams since Tee ball, dragged him all over to travel games and tournaments, and from March to November, I can expect to go down to the field and throw BP a few nights s week…
