I use macros on my mech keyboard all the time without any problems. There is a macro function built into Wow if you type /macro as well so I think it is only like really big scripts that will get you banned. Like the ones that craft and level for you. It is fully automated macros and bots that get you banned.

At the very least they should try to separate modders and hackers if possible. Since SOTFS released they have already split the community between those who upgraded to DX11 and those who did not so why not just splinter it even further since that seems to be working out so well!
