This almost... sort of... kind of... makes it seem like they were actually robbed at gunpoint. Lochte just told his side of the story through a douchebro filter.

Yeah I was just adding that to clarify that the cell phone thing isn’t one of the inconsistencies. Should have replied to the other post.

Because story / ratings

They stated from the start that their cell phones were not taken, just wallets / cash.

Yeah, it’s fun to assume that Lochte is even more of an idiot douche than we all thought... but it just makes no sense at all for them to have made this up. They gain nothing from it. Lochte doesn’t exactly have to work hard to get press during the Olympics. The other swimmers who are earlier in their careers have

Lochte said the muggers took their wallets but not their cell phones or credentials. To me looking at the video, it looks phones and credentials might be what they’re carrying. It’s certainly some conclusive smoking gun in the case. It’s guys walking through security putting down a black thing, which is what cell

That’s what doesn’t make sense to me. There isn’t a reason to make up getting mugged. Nobody is going to question why these guys would be out partying, spending money, etc. They’re young athletes. It’s what they do.

They're airing it now tho

He’s been associated with some shady doctors in the past, which as we all know by now is pretty much a guarantee.

The Jofa helmet gave him all the performance boost he needed.
