Better yet, don’t bring your pocket telephone into a bar or a restaurant in the first place! You’re not so important that you need to be available to everyone in the world at a moment’s notice.

To piggyback on your sentiment, I also experience this level of ignorance in the drop off line for school. There is also one (sometimes two!) assholes that are blaring their music while sitting three wide in a 15 car long line (45 cars total).
It’s a brave new world. $100k Jeeps, $120k Rams, and $300k Mustangs… boy that inflation really did a number on the car market.
Yeah really buried that little nugget, didn’t they?
Yeah but if *this guy* drove to the station where the cops’s buddies worked, then he’d probably get some drugs ‘found’ by a dog walking past his car after the other officers realized it’s their buddy doing the tailgating.
You forgot the flat brim hat and giant vape
Whocouldaknowed the market for $100K gas guzzling pickups wasn’t that big?
That’s what I would do. Unfortunately in this case it would have been driving straight into the wolf’s den.
There have been a handful of times I felt someone was following me after I honked at them for driving like an a-hole. When I would get near my home I would turn down a DIFFERENT street and make a couple of other turns in my local neighborhood to determine if it was coincidence, or if they were really following me. …
Yep. I was there about 4 years ago and it was either expensive cars, delivery vans or black cabs. Regular passenger cars were gone.
My neighborhood Popeyes has a drive through that backs into the street all the time, and it’s a six-lane, divided highway. And there’s no alternate entrance into their parking lot, so if you want to dine in or make a pickup inside the store, if the drive through is backed up, you’re screwed.
That one sounds weird, I thought that their metrics would be started once the order is entered. Either way, I am not sure anyone “wins” with that. Even if metrics for time in queue is made lower, it doesn’t mean they are selling additional products.
“I assume this someone how games their drive thru timing metrics.”
Back about 20 + years ago, CR was giving great ratings for the Honda Odyssey. They kind of forgot to mention that the trannies were designed to overheat and grind themselves to death, courtesy of one bad part they apparently knew about AND the lack of a sufficient tranny fluid cooler. And dealers knew - if you had an…
We think similarly based on your opening line.
“Why buy a Mach-E when you can get a comparably sized Model Y with significantly better range and performance for a lower price?”
The answer to your “why buy an _____ when you can buy a Tesla” is as simple as I have a HUGE dislike for Tesla’s CEO. For years my dream car was a Model X- it was an aspirational thing; this giant, cool expensive bauble that hits all the right spots from a practical and fun perspective. The thing is, when it became my…
I’m just a simple man, so I don’t own an EV, but are Tesla’s really hard to get repaired?
I think his statement makes sense; he’s kind of trying to square the circle of how they still sell so well. The reputational issues will definitely begin to catch up with them, though, and I don’t see how they will pull back once this happens. It’s a slow motion train wreck, and part of the pleasure is that we will…
