Literally any generic mid size CUV would be just fine.  The bonus of not buying a Subaru is that you can stay clean shaven, you don’t have to pretend to love IPA’s, and you don’t have to exchange your entire wardrobe for flannels.

The joint ownership of GM and Bedrock are seeking $250M from the state. Bedrock is the entity primarily responsible for the demolition and remodeling of the site, but GM is taking all of the bad press because their name is on top of the building.

I got to borrow a 2024 Escalade V for a weekend. Most of the driving was spirited driving around town (keeping the vehicle in V mode the entire time), with a few late night drags thrown in. I got around 8 mpg that weekend.

And everyone who drives a Subaru has someone reason they’ve convinced themselves they absolutely NEED AWD and they share the reason emphatically with everyone who will listen.

The gap between people who actually need AWD and the people who think they need AWD is far larger than it should be.

For what it’s worth, the native system in the GM EV’s doesn’t require a subscription for the first 8 years.  We have an Equinox EV, and I don’t miss CarPlay in it at all.

I feel like I’m alone in not understanding the excitement for the new Charger. It’s just a Challenger... it’s the same car, except now you can get an EV engine in it. There is nothing about it that is particularly interesting to look at.

The Prologue is an interesting exercise in brand reputation.  It is just a Blazer EV, but it outsells the Blazer EV almost 2-1.

Even if EV operating costs are on par with gasoline, I’ll still stick EV’s in the future.  Not having to stop at a grubby gas station has been a bigger advantage than I was expecting.  Plus EV’s a quieter and smoother to drive.

I was comparing his 2020 Telluride to a 2020 Pilot... same price, half the miles.

You know I’m not new here. Also, is it a good deal simply because it’s less than MSRP? Is it more discounted than other cars of similar age in it’s class?  Is this more discounted than say a Pilot, Highlander, Traverse, etc?  What exactly makes this a good deal?  $25k for a 60,000 mile base model Telluride doesn’t

A whole article to advertise used Hyundia’s and Kia’s?  Weird.

Totally agree. What I was getting at though was that it shouldn’t matter how much money he has because he shouldn’t be allowed to spend that money to influence a politician. Or, alternatively, there should be a maximum allowable amount (that is very low) that any single person/group/organization is allowed to

I’ll preface this by saying fuck Elmo and everything he stands for.

“As far as electric vehicles go, we still see that as the future long term, and you can see the trend globally,” Jacobson said. “Many of the customers that are new to General Motors are coming in through the EV channel. That’s in a nurturing stage. We’ve got to get it to profitability, but that doesn’t change if the

I could sit here and tell you this is a shocking development, but it really isn’t. When given the chance, a mega-corporation like GM is going to take the path of least resistance and highest profits.

We have an Equinox EV with the Google system and a Bolt EUV with AC. If I’ve learned anything since owning the EV, it’s that all the hoopla and whining about not having AC is massively over blown.  There is essentially no difference in functionality between Apple Car play and the native system on the Equinox EV.

Lets do all that, but lets be sure to keep lowering taxes on corporations and billionaires as well!

Trump is envisaging a world where, to bypass the tariffs, automakers bring jobs and manufacturing flooding back to American soil. Maybe they will, but the millions of dollars that have been invested in Mexican and Canadian manufacturing over recent years suggest that maybe they won’t.

I’d argue that we don’t have to wait a few months, since it clearly hasn’t mattered for years.
