I’ll never understand people the daily Wranglers, but don’t off-road them. You want a car with horrible gas mileage, extraordinarily loud road noise, inferior infotainment and and overall uncomfortable experience for a daily driver? AND you’re willing to pay out the nose for it?

If we’ve learned anything from Toyota, the reputation from those “glory years” can carry on for decades.

In Detroit, where the gyro is a very popular sandwich, I’ve always hear it pronounced “yur-oh”, which is different than anything in the original article.

I just leased a fully loaded 23 Bolt EUV with Super Cruise.  It is so so so much better than I was anticipating.

Yea it’s a weird position to take considering they aren’t even rated in the top three level 2 systems, let alone anything close to level 3.

While I understand, it’s a chance you take.

Fair point. Although had Tandy not put the car into the wall, I think the Porsche would have been in contention for the win.

Acura didn’t get the win because of engine reliability, they likely got the win because of better aero.  Two Cadillacs finished on the lead lap, but it never mattered what they did, they were never catching the Acura’s.  I suspect IMSA is going to have a very close look at the Acura entries prior to Sebring because

All things that any reasonable person should expect to be resolved as the technology develops.

Do you ever wonder how this keeps coming up?

Formula E would like a word.

No.  This is a complete waste of development resources.

Because it’s the biggest made up mental hurdle that has been generated around EV’s.

They’ve had some pretty serious engine issues in the run up to the 24.  Will be curious to see if the Acura’s survive the full 24 this go around.

The gap on reliability ratings from most to least has narrowed so much over the last 15 ish years, but people still have the perception that the most reliable car is leagues better than the least reliable car.  That isn’t true like it used to be.  In the next 10-20 years, all new cars are going to be software

All the OEM’s are methodically moving into EVs, Toyota is nothing special here.  But I’m sure when their ten years behind EV’s do eventually come out, they’ll get tons of unearned praise simply because... brand equity.

Luckily for Toyota, none of this will matter unless other OEM’s significantly ramp EV production and it’s visible to consumers that Toyota is lagging.

Got that dirty diaper rear end look going on.

People are still pimping Teslas?  Weird.

Luckily it looks like Jeremy is going to make it.
