“No criminal intent”

“What’s not to like?”

Fair enough. I can certainly get behind the "no boring cars" ethos.

So You bought a 50 odd year old classic car for a winter driver, to prevent a mass produced, absolutely not special in any way and thick as roaches SUV from rusting out? Sure, makes sense.

Instant gratification has spoiled people born in the last 30 years. Towing a car isn’t like McDonald’s. 45 minutes is pretty good. You don’t know where the driver is when he’s dispatched or how busy they are that night.

Is it possible that this wasn't the only car the towing service had to tow? 🤔

Do you live in a bubble?

Thats why it isn't for sale in the US,  I would assume.

You should read literally the 1st paragraph first.

Car I never thought much of until I had one was an 04 Intrepid I bought for a 70 mile round trip freeway commute. Bloated and purple it looked like Grimace. It had great AC, and the best leather seats I’ve experienced. I miss those seats. But shitty Chrysler transmissions, you know.

I don’t disagree with any of your points at all. Reading the source article, his complaint is that the bumps are too high and too wide, and it's directly outside his garage. If he's trying to turn in I could see bottoming out on it. He still shouldn't have removed it, but his claims aren't quite bullshit. Also by

Its taken a hell of a whack at some point, looks to be drivers side rear. At first it just looks like the trunk is misaligned but look closer, the whole car is a bit twisted.

No he’s going to claim that he was just a passenger in a casual acquaintances car. He’s going to claim that he panicked and ran. Unless they can positively connect the car to him, a decent lawyer is going to get him off. He’s going to get fired, but with no conviction till get hired somewhere else.

So, there's no professional astronauts on board, and a pretty good mix of civilians.  So what's the plan if something goes wrong? Does anybody know how to actually fly the damn thing?

It was a reasonable assumption. Sure, prototypes might run a temporary light while road testing, but these trucks aren’t on the road. They’re on a transporter, and there’s 5 of them. It looks like a shipment.

It wasn’t some random whacko, it was a UNIFORMED POLICE OFFICER who had been telling him to roll down the window and produce ID for several minutes. Dude knew what was going on. I’m willing to bet in the next few days we’ll find out what his warrants were for.

Yeah Experimental police equipment is really cool. I wonder how many departments actually have these devices. I'm willing to bet not very many.

You’ve obvious you’ve never worked law enforcement, and doesn’t sound like you’ve ever been in Georgia either. Every car in Georgia has a minimum of a 30% tint on the window. Cop shows are nothing like real life. Maybe learn what you’re talking about before you before you make a fool of yourself.

Pretty fucking stupid to run from the cops and drive recklessly with kids in the car.

Maybe read before commenting? They DIDN'T know who he was until after the crash. He refused to show ID. And were the plates even registered to him?
