Hate to break it to you, but styles and tastes change. The Archie you grew up with looks a lot different than the one originally dreamed up. Same goes today.

It was ok. I've watched it a few times, most recently about a year back. Its visuals are the best thing about it, but it does a reasonable job of bringing the comic strip to the big screen (even if Beatty didn't quite understand titular character).
