well its a "may", but with pod2g, i believe that the "may" isn't too hard to trust. I would rather have a bit of hope left than updating my phone and not be able to jailbreak it for the next 6-8months (given that devs stated iOS 5.0.1 is a lot harder to jb). It's all up to you in the end.

if access is limited to apple products (which it will be), then it most definitely will be free. As long as developers are using Apple's version of Maps for iOS Apps. I don't find it possible without getting sued to use Apple's Maps in another mobile device like Android.
