I think ANY treatment for depression is case by case, to be honest. I do think people who suffer should give anything a try at least once because you never know what'll help. But don't beat yourself up if something that was "supposed" to be helpful wasn't.

My friend did it a year ago. Despite initial weird IUD paranoia (she was convinced she could feel it which led to her sister who's an ob-gyn giving her one of those dildo ultrasounds which is just a hilarious aside to see if it wasn't in place, it was) she transitioned fine.

I went off the pill for several months after being on it for years. No real reason just sheer business/laziness (deadly combo) and I did have terrible periods. But guess what?
