@sacredprofanity: Your initial comment to me was never a discussion or an exchange of ideas. It was all about how you didn't approve of the tone to which I had initially responded to another persons comment. We weren't on two different sides of any issue, you just didn't approve of my mode of communication.

@sacredprofanity: Hey this might shock you? But my response to your ridiculously condescending and lecturing comment wasn't intended to bring you around to my way of thinking. It was to express my disgust with your comment. Because again, and you might want to sit down here to prepare yourself for the shock, I really

This is a joke, right? I mean it's really funny and the one girl keeps cracking up.

@margaret c. patton: But you yourself said that you have had the exact same experiences with people in your party, ie your views are ignored or scorned by the officials you want to vote for and the conservative groups you want to be a part of.

@margaret c. patton: Please tell me how this group is somehow "fringe" when the receive thousand of dollars in funding from mainstream conservative groups and the actual elected Republicans in Congress are working to cut back funding for organizations like PP.

@StuckOnRepeat: You know what makes a life full of rape and other forms of mental and physical abuse better? A baby.

@Penny: I know, I instantly loved that quote.

@palegirl: No because see that would actually HELP women not actively harm them. They have their priorities.

@LARPkitten: Everyone has jumped on you (rightfully so) and I hesitate to pile on.

@Ruby_de_la_Booby: But if they were making something up so as to not hurt her feeling the fact that they landed on something so ridiculously sexist and thought that sounded "better" is telling in and of itself.

@sissylarue: I just am confused as to why you'd automatically give the makers of The Fighter the benefit of the doubt over her.

@sacredprofanity: Yeah I mean my main issue here is with the "it's gotta be directed by a man" I mean regardless of what you think of the woman's talent if that was said it was sexist. I mean out of the hundred of explanations they could give for not meeting with her they went with that one? If true that is telling in

@sissylarue: Why are you so eager to explain this away? She said they flat out told her they were only considering men. Unless you're claiming she's lying I don't know how much more cut and dry it can get.

@Gnatalby: I know, it's sad and it just shows you what an uphill battle it still is for women in Hollywood.

@sacredprofanity: Maybe if they never considered anyone for the job BUT David O. Russell.

@kenzington: I could not watch more than 40 minutes of that stupid trying to hard to be quirky bullshit. So bad.

Seriously everyone who is bashing her talent should watch Thirteen. I cannot remember an American movie in the last 10 years that has had such a deep impact on me after viewing.
