I didn't read the WSJ article but I listened to a segment about it on Tell Me More (the "moms" segment, sidenote: I love Michelle Martin) and I was most troubled by the fact that she would regularly tell her kids they were "garbage" if they didn't live up to expectations.

Or more likely they lied about having sex, like teenagers have been doing since time immemorial.

@dearabigail: My best friend graduated from a top ranked vet school. Yes it is a very competitive and difficult 4 years. However there were students who were getting pregnant and having babies all 4 years basically.
