I love this article. I must admit I have been guilty of saying, I wish I was a lesbian a time or two and I am now totally feeling retro-shame in it.

How horrible that this woman became the subject of an article and that her psychiatrist apparently helped? I mean I'm assuming she signed a release that allowed him/her to comment to the reporter but I still think there'd be ethical considerations.

@honorabright: No your original comment referred to hunting being a sport in the most general sense. Then another commenter tried to explain why it was considered a sport and you made it about something else, ie whether Sarah Palin was a good enough hunter to kill an animal humanely.

@honorabright: I was not arguing anything of the sort. I didn't mention whether she was experienced hunter or not (no idea) or whether this was for publicity or not (clearly it was).

I completely agree Anna. I would add that hunting and eating what you hunt vs. not eating what you hunt is an important distinction.

I cannot imagine this happening. There is a big difference between Tim Tebow and his mom chatting about her choice to give birth to him and Randall Terry, a man most Americans find extreme (even many anti-choice people) posting stomach churning photoshopped pictures of "aborted fetuses."

The flaw in Coopers argument is that if marriage is only for procreation purposes then what of the countless married couples who do not have children?
