SVU has been painful to watch for the last couple of seasons, but like people below have said, with Cutter, Lupo and Bernard, the original was on the uptick again as it got cancelled. Talk about their being no fairness in the renewal and cancellation business, sigh.
Nobody could top Briscoe/Logan or Briscoe/Curtis, but Lupo and Bernard were about as good a replacement as you could possibly hope for. After years of the dreadfully dull Ed Green.
Theres always the possibility that Jon gives us a bit more closure next season in the mothership. Like a 3 episode mini-arc or something. All i know is, we need more Solomon!
Ha! Didnt even realize that—-good catch.
Yeah, it hasnt been strong in recent seasons, but my God, there was "The Following" level of absurdity and terrible writing this season.
It would have been a nice closing scene, but I would think that after the mess this season was, they'd want to redeem themselves before ending the whole thing. *Hopefully* next season, on its normal schedule, will get back to some competent setups.
Well, pretty much *anything* would look good after that disaster last week, but other than one quibble—-Rowan actually acting like Olivia wasnt basically President already when she had Fitz on a leash—-I'm happy they at least partially redeemed that Paus "paper tiger" plot with the big reveal at the end.
Well, there's likely SOMETHING green in its place…..
I think The Catch hasnt been *officially* cancelled yet, but is definitely circling the drain.
LOL, I'm just picturing our real life POTUS saying his own name out loud every time he speaks.
Yeah, it really was much better when we there still was a "maybe Red really is a bad guy" thing going on.
Is this Shonda?
Now THATS a show that should have never gotten canned. They could've just done entire episodes with Spader and Shatner smoking stogies on the patio. Cheap to film, and epic!
Ehhh, I think most people who followed the show realized that it was most likely a setup (trying to be as vague as possible).
Or PUSA fan.
I actually enjoyed its brief run…Solomon was the real star of the show though.
Yeah, but he was the star. McKean, I think, is a recurring guest "persistent big bad". I guess the BB equivalent would be Giancarlo Esposito? Or maybe the guy who plays Tuco?
The hokey dinner scenes did it for me.
I like it!
