I think what has made SVU nearly unwatchable in the past few seasons has been the drab and/or awful writing. And TBH, I'm really sick of the self-righteous Benson character.

I think Stewart would be headed for a padded room after the first few times he's forced to outright lie to the American people. I don't see Colbert, Stewart, etc, being able to stand the job for more than a couple of months. They care too much.

I laughed a couple of times, but I thought it was well short of an A. Last weeks episode, derided by AVClub, was much funnier IMHO.

I have to agree. But then again, I hated the ass-blaster episode too, and everybody loved that one.
