The roofline should be a bit lower IMO. otherwise, nailed it.

Or you know, push it... That’s the reason you need a manual and not an automatic diesel.

I thought the cars came with a specific ‘dyno mode’ because of all the electronic safety equipment you have now. I mean, the front wheels are spinning and the back ones aren’t is a big WTF for the ESP and every proactive safety system. So, if ‘dyno mode’ then cheat = on, else cheat = off. I believe they were very lazy

In the end, I don’t even know if the TDI’s are more or less reliable that all other diesel out there. I’ve heard nightmare stories, and I’ve heard very good experiences too. I’ve had a Passat TDI and a A3 TDI. Never missed a beat, never had a problem. I used to drive a lot, never had a rattle or any problem. Way past

What’s even more amazing is the fact that 25 years later it STILL has 320! Do you remember the Top Gear episode where they tested “classics” and all their cars had lost a good chunck of the power? Well, they were crappy cars to begin with, but still, I’m amazed that is that close.

That’s not a good reason. The margin they get from those is enormous. There’s been several articles when you see that the average selling price of the full sized trucks has been steadily rising but it’s not due to the cost of building the trucks. The cost of building those trucks decreases every year (except when a

You said they big trucks aren’t a lot more expensive than the light ones, but then you they can’t afford them? I can assure you than in Latin America they can afford it, no problem. No parking problem, no fuel problem. They don’t want big trucks because they don’t need big trucks. As simple as that. At least in Latin

My father and my brother sell used cars (one for Audi and the other with my father’s godfather who has a small lot).
They get this kind of people every.single.day. Internet made things worse. They usually say : “On the internet they are selling them for x amount of money, mine is worth AT LEAST that”. What they don’t

The older the car, the less I care about the miles. I had a 2006 A3 TDI, I cared a lot about the miles of the car (timing belt, clutch and possible turbo fail). Then I bought an 1989 318i and I don’t ever remember the number of miles in the car, I just didn’t look at the them.

No he isn’t, see Adam’s Storage. He works very fast though, which leads to errors.

Can confirm. They have too much money to spend here. They can also buy almost anything coming from the US (in France is quite hard for some cars). I’ve seen a few Challenger’s, Camaro’s, Mustang’s. Plus all the usual exoctics, I saw a LaFerrari the other day but next year the exhaust enhancing buttons like in the

nobody even notice Nakai San, Magnus Walker, Ken Block? I didn’t get the last two, but this is amazing to have them (and their style) in the game!

You’ll try what they call in Italy an Expresso or a Ristretto, or in layman’s words : coffee. The real one.

Ah the famous Agrale motors. I haven’t ever seen an engine spill so much oil... but still works on the thoughest conditions. Usually used to pump water. No starter, so you need to start it by hand (I talk about the old school models) and you can couple it with almost anything.

It might be dwindling in the USA but not in every other market. So the price of a manual transmission *should* always be lower since they are far simpler to build.

Competition - Any trip of 300 or less miles will be faster by high speed train. For instance, take one I usually take : Geneva - Paris. We have a TGV that does the 550km in around 3 hours. The flight to Paris is longer because you need to pass through security, the waiting times and the airports are fram from the city

Yeah, any route longer than 500km is not really worth it. Paris-Berlin in a plane is 1h40. In 2 trains is 8h00 as you said.

Because for any trip of 500km or less the train is faster from point A to point B. Yes, the train is slower, but you don’t spend hours waiting to get in and out. Plus, it is usually cheaper.

They made it cheap, because the US loves cheap cars. The passat is not the same car here in Europe and not the same price. The redesign of the Golf and Passat actually made them more upscale here. People don’t seem to be wanting to pay more than they would with a camry or other cars in the same segment.

Fair enough, for me that noise was the gearbox imploding. Damn Renault, you would expect that the smaller engine would be better since they make good small engines.
