Yeah, in this game there’s two ways to not be seen:
My only reference is what is said in this article. How can he label the US military his personal enemies for those sorts of acts and not label the Japanese military as enemies, when they have done very similar things? Labeling one and not labeling the other is hypocrisy. Why does he not say, “I also label members of…
This comment reminded me that I have had too much to drink, and desperately need to pee.
Criticism and the labeling of “enemy” are two very different things. I appreciate you’re defending someone you have an affinity for, but there’s no reason to be purposefully obtuse.
lol wutz trinkits bro?
The only fact I’m citing is that he’s labeling U.S. military members as enemies, and not applying the same label to his own country’s military (at least not in this rant) when they are guilty of very comparable atrocities, and even had a passive hand in the continuation of the Holocaust.
Yes, they are valid, but his insistence to ignore Japanese military atrocities makes him come off as a hypocrite.
Yes, those things were horrible, but for him to label all U.S. military personnel as enemies because of those things is a massive dose of willful ignorance, unless he also labels the members of his own nation’s military as enemies. The Invasion of Korea, the Rape of Nanking, the conditions of Japanese POW camps in…
I look at people who wear badges of the U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force that filled Vietnam with dioxins as enemies.
I don’t think a short skill shot with a narrow hitbox is any more difficult to hit than a global-range skill shot with a wide hitbox.
So, a hitbox change and a range difference make it NOT a skill shot stun? Whoops.
I don’t give a shit what 5+ other people have to say. Maybe if you get told by enough people...
Gosh, you’re “smart.”
So, the difference between hitboxes completely invalidates the comparison, despite being essentially the same ability. Come on. You know they’re very similar. Don’t feed me that BS.
“YouTubers aren’t creative.”
So, it’s not like Nidalee’s spear, it’s like Ashe’s arrow, that behaves in the exact same way, that people have been landing from across the map for years.
That’s not it at all. I’ve been gaming since Zork, and there are plenty of text-based games I enjoy. It’s just the...lack of anything to do, explore, figure out, discover, etc. in DQ that makes it fall flat for me.
You keep trying to excuse any shortcomings based on the engine. All I take from that defense is, “You don’t understand, the King of the Shitpile is still a King!”
But there are so many games you can enjoy that either merely dabble in realism, or completely throw it out the window. I'm glad that there's at least half a dozen options for those who enjoy a bit of realism injected into their gaming.
