Yes, because I think 1984 shows a really plausible reality if these current policies and ideologies are allowed to run their course, so let’s nip it in the bud. Once you’re IN 1984, I don’t know how much hope you’ll have.

My favorite dystopian novel, 1984, ends with hopelessness and a quashed rebellion and people submitting to fear tactics and brainwashing so that’s my model for the next four years pretty much.

This show has sort of messed me up, despite my atheism, and I’m now worried about my point total, and I know I would probably super end up in a not good place, if such a place were to exist.

I got a surprise when I was watching my usual British panel shows on youtube this week and I think this is a really wonderful way to remember Carrie. She was smart, cared so much about her dog, and didn’t super care what anyone else thought of her. That’s inspiring.

And to think I was satisfied with getting pink ballpoint pens...
