As a creaky old man who owned an SNES back when it was new, I’ve been hearing about this VR shit for literal decades. It’s a niche. I’m glad it’s a niche people enjoy, but it’s pretty clear most people don’t want to strap a gadget to their faces.

I feel like such a nerd, but this genuinely warms my heart. I wouldn’t call myself a fan of all things Japanese or even anime in general, but a lot of these are superbly designed fighting games and it grinds my gears when people dismiss them off-hand as “weeb bullshit” just because of their aesthetic.

I’ve always felt like Frosty Faustings was the big anime (arc sys) fighting tournament. It’s good to see more exposure for these types of games, especially when SFV is arguably one of the weakest of the bunch this time around.
