That “stiff upper lip” was always a lie. Even during the Blitz and the supposed “spirit” of it looting was rife and people flooded to the shelters hardly with “stiffness”.

Your first point absolutely infuriated me. The show is called “The Crown.” Why aren’t we focusing on the person who, you know, wears it? Season 2 was so Philip-centric to the point that it neglected other important storylines. Obviously, I would have loved to see more from Elizabeth, but why didn’t we get more time…

NOPE! If she works more given that she is the focus of the show she should be paid more even if she is unknown. This is what equal pay for equal work means.

It was maybe forgivable to pay her less in S1 when she was, as you said, unknown. But when they saw what a fucking massive hit it was they should have at least brought her up to Matt Smith’s level for S2 if only for optics’ sake. Like, come on.

Claire Foy is brilliant!!! She says more with a raised eyebrow than most actors convey with a heated monologue. Also, Matt Smith has the distinction of being markedly less compelling than the person he portrayed. It’s a rare case where the film actor is a lot less attractive than the real person.

This is just infuriating. Claire Foy is INCREDIBLE in this series, while Matt Smith simpers and stiff-upper-lips himself into high farce every episode.

Whaaaat. This is total bullshit. While I found this series boring, sorry guys, Claire Foy, is clearly the star. Phillip looked like crispin Glover mixed with some generic actor to me.

Truly! I wish I could shame all the now-divorced women who were sanctimonious about how she was a harpy that drove her husband and children away. Growing up my mom would make fun of me for liking her, and now my mom a) is divorced, b) still has less in common with me than Martha Stewart.

I don’t think Martha is drinking boxed Franzia shit that needs ice to choke it down. She said she likes her drinks ice cold on hot nights because it’s hot and also doesn’t drink a lot so if the ice waters it down a little she can nurse the drink a little longer.

Frozen grapes are the best! I also sometimes make coffee ice cubes for my iced coffee, so it doesn’t get gross and diluted.

Well everything in this was just delightful and now it feels like it should be summer but instead Maine’s getting another 12 inches of snow tomorrow and I just cannot.
