I bought one. And it's great! I've owned over 20 cars, including at least one from each of the big three German makes. The Mirage is cheap, reliable, and I don't have to care about it. I can park it wherever and not worry about it getting scratched or stolen. I just drove it 5,000 miles across the country and

I have a Gen 1 at home 3.0 LWB LS and I love it, by far the most reliable car I've ever owned. Sometimes it sits for about 4 to 8 months at a time and granted the battery has charge she starts right up! A blast to drive off road! The only mod I did as get a set of Audi A4 projectors and some 4300k bulbs. =D

"When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, "Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping." To this day, especially in times of "disaster," I remember my mother's words and I am always comforted by realizing that there are still so many helpers – so many

Damnit Bob!

While you are absolutely right, if you want any money back from mods you have to remove them from the car and sell them separately, the manufacturers don't spend all that money making the best they can. The spend it making the best they can within a certain budget. Often as cheap as they can possibly get away with.

There might be one exception.

You and blkwings are just looking for different things in a vehicle. He wants reliability and safety with a warranty, you want fun and damn all the consequences and extended warranties.

Well damn. Looks like his engine too the brunt of the damage.

Oh wait.

The fact that you are comparing the STI to the S3 and not the Mitsubishi Evo XI is another sign of how far the Japanese have fallen in sports cars. Now I am sad.

and the exhaust is going bappetybappety-bappetybappety and all those little internal bits are going whumpawhumpawhumpa-whump

Mitsubishi! Change USA business model as follows:

At least give us something along the lines of the FQ treatment that the UK gets.

So many people just don't get it, until they drive cars like these. You can label it a "boy racer" or "rice rocket", whatever you want, but nothing beats hopping into the drivers seat of a little turbo'd 4 banger with AWD and hooning the ever living snot outta the thing. I've owned and driven my fair share of RWD

REAR SEATS! AND A HATCH! AND A TURBO! AND A V6! AND AN EXTRA SET OF DOORS!

I screamed a bit when he cut to the 2nd car.

Splendid. I guess we shouldn't have bothered with apartheid and nazism. Not pissing off investors is the choice moral path, you are so right and may say we need more people with your great values in the world? Because everything you enjoy now, for sure it comes from never pissing off investors.

It counts. They were selected based solely on their political leanings.
