This is wonderful. His thoughtfulness and generosity is amazing. I am happy for those three women as well. This is probably the equivalent of two months salary for them so it should come in handy.

White women are protected by the courts in a way black women are not. Stop attempting to obfuscate that fact. There is a reason the vast majority of white women voted for white supremacy - for them the privilege of whiteness surpass the disadvantage of being a woman.

Not true. White women are very protected by the system. To suggest white women get the same treatment as the vast majority of black people is disingenuous.

I don’t care about any part of this story. There were so many comments suggesting he couldn’t know ricotta is cheese that I found it bit strange that was their first takeaway. My interest is more in the reasoning behind people’s gut assumptions.

Not at all. You would need to make some assumptions to conclude someone was ignorant of a pretty common food item. You don’t doubt he knows what pancakes are so why the cheese?
