Far be it for my black ass to defend white feminists, but a lot of these comments seem to come from white dudes. White women are no better on racism, but the strong and deep sense of entitlement to PoC’s time and attention is peak White Dude.

That is a choice you have made about how you want to spend your time. It is not a choice every person of colour should have to make. It is extremely for anyone to assume a person of colour has an obligation or expect a person of colour to educate you on racism*.

There are a lot of cultures that have been painting their faces with colour as adornment for thousands of years. Make up is not a western creation or the creation of western ad agencies.

I have listened to or read 3 or 4 stories in the last few months on the white residents of St. Cloud working themselves into a racist frenzy due to the mere presence of Somali-Americans in their town.
