Conveniently decided to get serious with their non-white case.

They consider her a visually attractive person . They don’t like to consider attractive people evil, that is only for the ugly ones, so they create a narrative that explains away her bad behaviour and gives her a pass.
Calling parents mummy and daddy is cultural as well. I know a lot of West Indian and African friends that refer to their parents that way. I don’t get this need people have to call things not familiar to them “creepy”.
Appreciate your acceptance of yourself.
Be on your way racist asshole
Just keep being you. I always know what to expect when I encounter one of you.
After all your agonizing, are you seeing the movie? Or you need some more time to play on agonizing for your white friends.
Of course you think I am stupid! Stay the same always.
You seem to have a reading comprehension problem. Not conflicted about seeing the movie. Conflicted about declaring someone that was acquitted a rapist. Very clear the friend is a rapist, but not sure if he that had consensual sex with the woman is a rapist.
I guess she doesn’t want to damage her brand. The others have nothing to lose - they are either paid by a Trump, married to a Trump, or can benefit from the notoriety.
As long as the women of color are getting paid, all the best to them.
Yes, it is. I decided then I was seeing the movie and mentioned it in the comment and I am STILL seeing the movie. No drama about it.
Lol. How very complex of you. Please keep having your discussions.
Oh please. You can learn about Nat Turner without this movie. It it ridiculous to make this into some existentialist crisis.
I feel like if a person is ‘conflicted’ about seeing it, they shouldn’t. This is not do or die, this is a movie. If you can’t separate the man from the movie, don’t see it. I don’t understand anyone giving themselves an ulcer over whether to see a movie or not.
At this point, everyone has probably made their personal decisions on whether they will see the film or not. I will see the film in the theater (if it ever comes to my lilly white city) or on Netflix/HBO/wherever. I don’t care about Nate Parker, I care about watching the movie because of whom it is based on.
I think she was involved in some way, but due to her whiteness and American-ness people will always give her the benefit of the doubt.
Why do they do these intelligence briefings with the candidates? What is the purpose? There is enough time in the three months between election night and inauguration to brief the actual winner. How classified can this be if the candidate can just wander in with friends? All seems so silly.
I don’t get your comment. She is there to do an interview with him. I am sure he was aware she was coming. Why would he look past her and not look her in the eye?
You can’t extrapolate about her behaviour, but you feel quite comfortable extrapolating about his and calling him names based on it. Interesting.
