It’s that 1-2 defensive punch of Trevor Ariza and... uh... James Harden... that’s putting him off... I suppose?  Last night was probably the best I’ve ever seen Harden play defensively, but that really isn’t saying very much.

They basically have to shorten their bench if Houston does. Those other guys, especially the bigs, are useless in these games. Houston is keeping LMAM, Johnson, Anderson and Nene on the bench for the same reason. Those bench guys are out of their depth in this series.

In my experience, playing as a minor nation ( I don’t think playing as the already powerful ones is fun or rewarding ) is harder in Vicky II than in Europa Universalis or playing as a lesser noble in Crusader Kings. It’s probably even harder than HOI, because the AI doesn’t have as many limitations on declaring war.
