Way too low! VW needs to buyback at initial list price to discourage this kind of behavior in the future.
In Texas, they don’t test Diesels on annual safety inspection. I imagine there that you could keep running it until the blow up that’s too expensive to repair comes along...as it surely will (that fine German engineering, you know.)

VW Jetta TDI (2009 - up). Crappy high pressure fuel pumps that grenade and ruin the fuel system? Or wait, maybe the integrated particulate trap/catalytic converter on the 2009? Or how about the exhaust flapper valve that jams and quits working on all of them?
