Were these people consistently getting 8-9.5 hours of sleep per night? If you aren’t getting enough sleep during the work week then sleep in on the weekend to catch up on sleep, it seems like it would bias the happiness you get from those hours upwards.

Besides adverse reaction to caffeine and maybe religious reasons (coffee’s very existence is actually enough to make me believe in God), why would you want to avoid caffeine?
