I don’t know if you can call it “dismantling systems of oppression,” but since reading Jezebel, and later Splinter and The Root, I’ve learned far more about transphobia, misogynoir, allyship, how politics works, and tons of other topics that I, as a baby feminist, was only slightly or not at all aware of a few yrs

No one denies that Andrew Jackson may have done some things that were objectively good. At the same time, no one argues that overall Andrew Jackson was a piece of shit and one of the most morally disgusting Presidents ever.

This is not true. There are plenty of celebrities who don’t speak out on social and political issues and nobody bothers them cause they stay in their lane and that’s ok. But then there are celebrities who dabble in “wokeness” and then aren’t prepared to follow through with it. I think it’s perfectly ok to criticize

Re: “celebrities are damned if they do and damned if they don’t,” the thing about this column is that it’s explicitly about what celebrities do, and what Jessica Chastain did was thoughtlessly give more credibility to the term “alt-left” via a tweet to her 575,000 followers (many of whom called her out of them), only

I’m surprised how quickly people have gobbled up the “alt-Left” tag.

Address Codename_SailorV. Address that one. I’m livid that you’ve made 5+ comments after hers/his and completely ignored this very specific comment that made a sound and indisputable reason why you are wrong. Dispute any of those really fucking good reasons he should not be on US money. You won’t. You can’t. That’s

Honey.

I’m not even exaggerating when I say that my eyebrows hurt by the time I read through the end of your comment, dude. Not. Even. Exaggerating.

I’m supposed to believe your dumb ass and your dumb ass friends would forget history if it wasn’t drawn on your money (or made a statue in your town for that matter)? I say prove it.

If you loathe the 0.01%, the too big to fail banks, wall street, and the rest of that circle and the wealth inequality and more that central banking backing up fractional reserve banking drives then you should be on Andrew Jackson’s side.

I think I may have to go the DIY route.

It makes me nuts that we’re in this mess because a dude with dark skin (and erudition, class, and competence, and an intelligent wife with achievements of her own, etc. etc. etc.) was elected president. Bottom line is, some white people in America were so fucking traumatized by this, that they’ll debase themselves

Nah, it’s fucking racism.

“A fashion show with no fashions. How dreadful.”

Of all the couples in the Housewives lexicon, I kind of think Simon and Alex are most perfect for each other.

I know it’s cliche, but I really do mean it: you are doing the Lord’s work.

Kelly is honestly the worst character ever on TV.

Madeleine: RHOC, season 11, the episodes with the 70s party!

Thank you for only including relevant seasons. Not even the most studied experts can be bothered with Miami, DC, Potomac or Dallas.

Who gon’ check me boo?
